Breed Your Dragon!

Well, your Dragon is an Adult... NOW what do you do?!?!?! Why don't you Bond you dragon, and then Breed it to make MORE little Dragons???

Here are the RULES, and DETAILS for Breeding you Dragon. YOU MUST READ THIS BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN BOND YOUR DRAGON! I WILL Know if you Don't, so please read carefully!

Of course this isn't as easy as it sounds, but it is well worth it! Here are the steps you need to take to Bond/Breed your Dragon.

PLEASE READ THIS!!! IT'S VERY IMPORTANT:

1.) Visit one of the Dragons of the Opposite gender of your Dragon, and see if your Dragon might be interested in it.

2.) MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT CHOOSING A DRAGON FROM YOUR OWN CLUTCH!!!!! Even in Dragon Land Incest is a very horrible thing. It has to do with Genetics, and malformations, so we REALLY don't want this to happen. ALSO: You cannot choose a Dragon from either of your PARENT'S Clutches. Same thing applies.

3.) Write an Email to the OWNER of this Dragon, asking if they would like to Bond their Dragon to Yours. (If you can't find their email on their webpage, then visit the Adopted Dragon List, and their name will link to their Email Address. If this does not work for you, write ME an email, and I'll see what I can do.)

4.) IF THE OWNER OF THE DRAGON AGREES: BOTH of you need to write ME an Email, telling me that you BOTH have agreed to Bond your Dragons. I will then add your Dragons to the Bonded list, send both of you a Banner that says "I (Dragon's name here), have Bonded with (other Dragon's name here). Click to Visit (him/her)!!".

5.) This Banner MUST link to your Bonded Dragon's WEBPAGE! NOT to me! Sorry, this IS actually a Rule!

6.) As Dragons Mate for life, Bonding is a sort of Permanent Marriage. THIS MEANS YOU CAN NOT GO BACK ON YOUR BONDING AFTER ONE WEEK OF SENDING ME YOUR FIRST EMAIL!! You must be ABSOLUTELY sure that you want to Bond with this other Dragon! If you are unsatisfied with your decision, then YOU MUST WRITE ME AN EMAIL WITHIN ONE WEEK OF SENDING ME YOUR EMAIL ABOUT BONDING! If you do not tell me that you wish to break the bonding of your Dragon to this other Dragon within that time, then you are stuck. Either your Dragon, or the other Dragon must die in order to break that Bond, and usually the other Dragon will die along with it's mate, so I strongly suggest that you choose right the first time.

7.) You Must put the word: "Valentine" in the bonding Email you send me. I will ask for any comments you have, and you need to add THIS as a little "comment". If you Do not do this, I will know that you have not read these rules, and you will not be able to Bond your Dragon. This word WILL change every once in a while, so if you have more than one Dragon to Bond, make sure to come back here and read the new word. I also might change some of these rules, so if there are any more numbers at the bottom of this list than the last time you came through.. well.. read the new stuff. Oh, and make sure that the person you are wanting to Bond with ALSO reads this page, so that THEY understand the process, and which word to add to their email as well!!!

8.) After you both have placed the banners on your Dragon's homepage, I will then send you the URL for the Breeding Form. Both of you must go to this URL, and Fill out this Form in order to Breed your Dragons.

9.) After I look over your Entries, and figure out your Genetics, I will then tell you that the Female Dragon has successfully conceived a clutch! After a 2 week period I will then tell you that the Female Dragon has Laid her Clutch, and tell you what KIND of eggs are in her Clutch.

10.) At this point in time, Each Parent may choose up to 2 eggs each (equaling 4 eggs total) out of the Clutch to keep for themselves. (This is only if possible. Sometimes the Clutches will be too small for this. If the Clutch only consists of 4 eggs then the parents may only keep one egg each, but if it is smaller, the entire clutch goes to the Adoption Agency. YES this has to do with Genetics, and What Breed your Dragons Are. NO this does not have to do with whether or not I like you, or your page.) You don't HAVE to keep any eggs, but it is an easier way to adopt a Dragon without having to go through the Adoption process.

11.) Depending on which breed the FEMALE Dragon is, it may change how many Clutches she may have before she is no longer capable of Breeding. Some Dragons, like the Earth Dragons tend to have very small clutches, and only about 4 in their lifetime. However, Fire dragons can have up to 10 Clutches in their lifetime, that tend to be Very LARGE in size. Of Course, if you Breed a Fire Dragon with an Earth Dragon, and they have another Earth Dragon baby, that Dragon might have a slightly different Clutching Pattern due to simple Genetics. Of course you don't have to worry about this part, it's MY job to bother with. I also advise that simply because you want a lot of Babies, you shouldn't just go out and get a Fire Dragon! Because of this genetic pattern again, down the line that Fire Dragon may only have up to 4 clutches in her life. :)

12.)Whenever you fill out the form to Breed, I will tell you how many Clutches your Female is Capable of. After you have met your Final Clutch, your Dragon will then go through ONE more "Growth Stage". That of: Old. As I don't have any Bonded Adults yet, I don't know what this stage will look like yet, so I can't even show YOU yet. ;)

13.) An Old Dragon is not capable of being Re-Adopted should you abandon it for some reason. At this point in time the Dragon has lived it's full life, and will choose to Die rather than go on without it's Bonded Human. Usually Old Dragons will live as long as you do, but there is always that occassion that one cannot take life any more. Sometimes an Old Dragon will even choose Death, should it's Mate die for some reason. These Dragons don't die off very often.. but it IS heard of, and it CAN happen.

Sorry if this has taken too much out of your time, but these are things that you MUST know, and DO in order to Bond/Breed your dragon. Thanks for Reading these.. and remember!!: If you didn't read all of the rules, you MAY just be missing something that you need in order to Bond your Dragon!

I have read the Rules, and Understand
OR
I think I know everything, and SKIPPED the rules!

Thanks for Reading! :)
